PISO-ENCODER600U

ICP DAS USA's PISO-ENCODER600U board has with it a 6-axis encoder counter. Each axis has a 32-bit (true counter) which musters a maximum counting rate of 1 MHz, where the counting mode can be selectable to three types: 1. Quadrant mode, 2. CW/CCW mode, and 3. PULSE/DIR mode. Three kinds of counter reset modes are also provided: 1. Register Reset, 2. Index Reset, and 3. Hardware Reset. The "Index Reset" mode resets by way of C+/C- channel, which resets the counter on each revolution. "Hardware Reset" mode resets the counter using an external pin (HR1 ~ HR6). The HR1 ~ HR6 pins can also be used as digital input.

The PISO-ENCODER600U also provides 8-ch digital outputs, which is ideal for deploying motion control equipment. 2500 Vrms photo-couplers are used to isolate the digital I/O to prevent high voltages from affecting the system. Drivers and function libraries for DOS, Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows 7 are provided.

Each digital input and output is photo-coupled isolated up to 2500 Vrms. The diagram below illustrates the function block for PISO-Encoder600(U)
