Dear Maria Santella,
M2M refers to Machine to Machine
Systems which include devices that are able to reply to requests for
data from devices that can transmit autonomously. They have established
communication between devices and to a server or another device. A
software agent, process, or interface by which the data can be
analyzed, reported, and/or acted upon. M2M systems also have software Intelligence. They are purpose driven.

G-4500 + M-7000 DAQ Modules |
Mini PAC + Remote Modbus RTU I/O Modules: G-4500 is a compact programmable automation controller with an antenna and built-in GPRS/GSM. G-4500 with M-7000 data acquisition modules allows monitoring of data that can be sent out in real time. GPS is an optional accessory for G-4500. With GPS, G-4500 becomes a tracking system which you can often find in car and marine systems

Bring Serial Devices onto Ethernet Networks |
Convert Serial to Ethernet: I-7188 E Converters
assign a unique address to any RS-232 device installed in Ethernet
networks. Host-PC's can send commands with the device address to
Ethernet networks. The destination I-7188E series
will remove the address field & pass the other fields of command to
its local RS-232 device. The response of this local RS-232 device will
be passed to host-PC via this destination I-7188E series.

High Power Serial to Ethernet Converters |
The built in COM port of PDS-7000 can be virtualized. PDS-7000 High
Power Serial to Ethernet Converters allow serial devices onto the
Ethernet network. A card reader with an RS-232 interface is set outside
of the door and far away from the central system. A device server enables the card reader to communicate with the central system by converting the serial RS-232 signal to Ethernet protocol. A PLC controlling lights, buttons and air conditioning call for multi-COM port connections. Through Ethernet, we can extend transmission distances

uPAC-7186EX-FD + X Daughter Boards + M-7000 DAQ Modules |
Micro PAC with Daughter Expansion Boards and Remote Modbus RTU I/O: uPAC-7186EX-FD is a Data Acquisition controller with 64 MB NAND memory. Our X Daughter Boards and M-7000
modbus RTU DAQ modules allow for standalone control and data
acquisition. It easily allows equipment like natural gas compressors,
plunger lift systems, and generators to communicate with each other.
Notifications can be sent instantly when things like temperatures is
out of specified range.

Mini PAC with GPS / GPRS |
Embedded Controller with a Cellular Transceiver: M2M Mini Programmable Automation Controllers
make monitoring, immediate message sharing, andquick responding
possible. They are intelligent, efficient machines that effectively
lower labor costs. G-4500 is a compact programmable automation controller with an antenna and built-in GPRS/GSM

Remote Maintenance Device with Voice Streaming and Web Server |
Voice streaming and voice connections: M-4132
is an advanced remote maintenance device that provides convenient
functions for manufacturers like one-to-many connections and audio
functions. With M-4132, it is just like being on location. M-4132 can help engineers maintain and fix programs in remote devices very efficiently.

Implementing Technology |
Identifying Machine Failure: GEMTECH's Machine Failure Data Acquisition System
cuts costs and improves productivity. It detects failure at the
precise moment a machine stops. Data like the frequency of a
given stop is logged. Click here to read the full application story.

ICP DAS USA Wins M2M Enabler Award! |
M2M
magazine developed the Value Chain Awards five years ago to
promote the emerging machine-to-machine market and provide a gathering
place for industry stakeholders. The Value Chain Awards honor the most
successful corporate adopters of M2M technology and the team of
solution providers that made their success possible. ICP DAS USA,
Inc. received the M2M Enabler Award and was honored by a formal dinner
and ceremony on June 11, 2009 as a part of M2M magazine's annual
conference. Entries were judged on the overall strength of
the deployment, especially the level of innovation and the business
value obtained. Click here to read more about ICP DAS USA's M2M Enabler Award.
