We released our first programmable automation controller in early 2003; the WinCON 8000 series. WinCON was the first of its kind-- boasting both control and data acquisition capabilities, otherwise unheard of by its competitors. WinCON allowed users freedom from intricate PC/PLC infrastructures, offering a hybridized method of delivering developed embedded control while presenting extremely robust data acquisition capabilities. ICP DAS is a Microsoft Embedded partner-- so we are able to work closely with Microsoft and develop devices that can offer stout industrial capabilities, via a palatable and familiar GUI for users of any level to interact with.
This revolutionary Windows CE net programmable automation controller provides the integration of PC and PLC together. It has a built in video port, keyboard, mouse, USB, Ethernet ports and 512 MB Compact Flash. For PLC users, it provides HMI and logic all in one and Windows programming environment. For PC users it provides a powerful hardware platform and robust Windows CE environment.

Programmable Automation Controllers by OS
ViewPAC is an innovative product by ICP DAS. It is a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) which combines display, operation and control in one unit. ViewPAC provides perfect solutions to integrate HMI, data acquisition and control in one PAC. It overthrows traditional image that HMIs and controllers are working separately and solves many communication problems between HMIs and controllers. In the PAC development history of ICP DAS, ViewPAC family sets a milestone.
ViewPAC family provides two CPU types (PXA270,80186), 3 OS solutions (WinCE 5.0, Linux, MiniOS7) and several software development toolkits (C, VS .NET, ISaGRAF, InduSoft) for chosen, and all of them are featured same stability and flexibility as ICP DAS's PAC family. This makes ViewPAC has a good potential to apply to factory automation, building automation, machine automation, manufacturing management, environment monitoring, etc. It overthrows traditional architectures of "HMI + PLC" or "HMI + PAC", and let users has more and flexible options to configure their automation system.
WinPAC-8000 is our second generation Windows embedded Programmable Controller. It is equipped with a PXA270 CPU (520MHz) running a Win CE.NET 5.0 operating system, variant conductivities (VGA, USB, Ethernet, RS-232/485), and 1/4/8 slots for high performance parallel I/O modules (high profile I-8K series) and serial-type I/O modules (high profile I-87K I/O modules).
In comparison to the first generation WinCon-8000, Windows embedded WinPac PAC improves the CPU performance (from 206 MHz to 520 MHz), upgrades OS (from CE 4.1 to CE 5.0), and reliability features, such as dual LAN, redundant power input, dual battery backup SRAM, etc. It gives you all of the best features of both traditional PLCs and Windows capable PCs.
TouchPAD is a tiny touch screen controller HMI which is designed for building and home automation. TPD-28X-W is equipped with a high resolution TFT color touch screen and fits in regular electrical wall-mount outlets. It can be easily integrated with I/O modules and has a beautiful, flexible and user-defined picture display. It is the best choice for upgrading mechanical switches to intelligent control pads.
TouchPad comes with Ladder Designer Software For PLC users and a C/C++ language development environment for C/C++ Programmers. You can quickly and easily develop your programs with the development tools provided.
TPD-430 supports Modbus RTU / RS-485 communication. TPD-433 supports Modbus TCP / Ethernet communication.
TPD-283-W is powered over Ethernet and communicable over Modbus TCP. TPD-280-W communicates over RS-485 and Modbus RTU.
XP-8000 is an embedded personal computer which is dedicated for industrial control. XP-8000 is the new ICP DAS generation Programmable Automation Controller. It equips an AMD LX 800 CPU (500 MHz) running a Windows Embedded Standard 2009 operating system, variant connectivity (VGA, USB, Ethernet, RS-232/RS-485) and 3/7 slots for high performance parallel I/O modules (high profile I-8K series) and serial-type I/O modules (high profile I-87K I/O modules). The Windows Embedded Standard 2009 OS has many advantages. It has the same Win32 API as Windows XP Professional. Almost every desktop program can be easily ported to Windows Embedded Standard 2009. This effectively reduces the efforts of developments and shortens the time to market.
With more processing power, more standard memory plus the awesome Linux kernel 2.6, LinPAC is more more of an all-in-one solution now than ever. It packs amazing performance into a portable-sized space, boasting a bunch of new functions.
Now you can immediately enjoy the Linux controller with the perfect balance between power and stability. Upgrading from LinCON is seamless. LinPAC is fully compatible with all of your original programs which ran on your LinCon. Just copy and paste the programs into your LinPAC Linux controller. Viola! Everything functions the same on a more powerful Linux programmable automation controller.
Our Micro Programmable Automation Controllers have fast-booting operating systems called MiniOS7 developed for C-Language based controllers. The μPAC meets every requirement for general applications; such as data acquisition, automation systems, and remote control. Benefits of our uPAC controllers are: faster CPU, 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet communication, and low power consumption. μPAC-7186 series are suitable for sophisticated applications. Many optional expansion boards are available for our μPACs to provide DI, DO, A/D, D/A, Timer/Counter, UART, flash memory, battery backup SRAM and other I/O functions. For those who are familiar with soft logic, ICP DAS also provides IEC 311 ISaGRAF-based μPACs.
The WISE-7901 module is an user-defined IO expansion controller. It features WISE rule engine, Modbus/TCP. Based on ICP DAS IO technology, there are various X-Board IO modules for users to choose from to meet their demands for use in various industrial applications. WISE-7901 module also supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) function.
